Glühwein (original & alkoholfrei) Rezepte - Mulledwine (original & alc. free) Recipes

Mulled wine, probably one of the most delicious
drinks you can have in this cold season! I personally love it, and I thought
since they are always overpriced at the Christmas markets, that I am going to
show you how to make it yourself! I have two recipes for you, one is the
original version, and the other option is the alcohol free version!
Ingredients:
200g Sugar
2 Clementine’s
1 Lime
1 Lemon
2 Cinnamon Sticks
1 Vanilla Bean
6 Cloves
2 Anise Stars
1 Pinch Nutmeg
2 Bottles Red Wine (or for the alcohol free
version, use two bottles of grape juice – if you choose to do the alcohol free
version, only use about 100g Sugar!)
Directions:
1 Add sugar, the zest
of your citrus fruits, the juice of the clementine’s, cinnamon sticks, vanilla
bean (cut in half and scraped out the „beans“), cloves, anise and the pinch of
nutmeg into a saucepan.
2 Add red wine (or
grape juice) until the sugar is covered with it. (a bit less than half a
bottle)
3 Cook on high heat
for about 4-5 minutes, until a thick syrup forms.
4 Then lower the heat
to low, and add the remaining of your wine (or grape juice) and warm for
approx. 5 minutes. (do not cook the mulled wine, because the alcohol will
evaporate)
And there you have it, homemade delicious
mulled wine. And I have to add, this homemade drink is much much better than
the bought version, Enjoy!
Until next time!
