liegende Ecken zusammen klappen.

Another festive Christmas recipe for you! This pastry
looks like you made puff pastry dough, tastes like it, but it is not, it is a
much simpler way of getting a airy, fluffy pastry!
Ingredients:
Pastry
Dough
225g Cream Cheese
225g Soft Butter
240g Flour
½ Tsp Salt
some Powdered Sugar for preparation
Filling
225g Cream Cheese
50g Powdered Sugar
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
Strawberry Jam (aprox.
75g)
Directions:
1 Mix
butter and cream cheese until well combined.
2 Add flour and salt
and mix until a soft dough forms.
3 Sprinkle some
powdered sugar on your work surface and roll the dough into a ball.
4 Cut the dough into
4 equal pieces and form disks. Put them individually in zip log bags and let
them set for 30 minutes in your fridge.
5 Meanwhile prepare
your cream cheese filling, simply add all ingredients except the jam in a bowl
and mix until well combined.
6 Now roll out the dough to about 5mm
thickness, and cut out 9cm big squares. Put those squares on top of a baking
sheet.
7 Add about ½ Tsp of the cream cheese filling
and jam in the middle of the pastries. Then take the two edges from across each
other and fold them over the filling.
8 Let the finished pastries set for another
hour in your fridge.
9 Now bake them at 195 degree Celsius for about
10-15 minutes or until gold brown.
And there you have it, a delicious festive
pastry! You can of course substitute the strawberry jam with any other jam you
like, but I just like the red and white colors. Enjoy!
Until next time!
